My practice is informed by broadly defined Freudian and Lacanian traditions. My background in critical and Marxian political economy provides me with a deeper understanding of the social conditions under which our psyches are shaped. But my clinical orientation is attuned towards the singular experience of the analysand with a recognition that individuals, while shaped by them, cannot be reduced to the sum total of their social determinations.
